Book Club Meeting Tonight

Just wanted to post this in a new thread in hopes of getting several people to join.

First Book Club Meeting
January 19th (today)
6:30pm
2805 N. Alexander Drive in Massage Therapy Office (Opposite end of Tx Golf Cart, across street from Beacon Credit Union)

Hope this turns out to be a success! I for one look forward to it!

How did the meeting go? I wanted to go but had plans.

The meeting went fine except that it was a small group that showed. Only two. We are going to give it one more try on February 16th, same time, same place. If it's a fail then we won't try again. It's sad to think so many people were so interested and then no one showed up. Hopefully next month is different. The book we chose is called Sarah's Key. Hope you can join us next time.

I read Sarah's Key in November it was a remarkable book.
The things that humans can do to others are just terrible, how we can call beast animals yet let a society of people do that to other humans is just plain crazy.
I know it barely touches on the what happened back then but it saddens me to think of it. It is a very good book, you will enjoy it.

I would love to but my crazy schedule would not allow.
You would enjoy "The Kitchen Help" too, it was a good one.
Although I can not join your group, I so enjoy "catching" up on what you guys are reading, please keep us posted.
Have you got into the Kristin Hannah books yet, I have not went back and read the earlier thread recently to remember.

I am getting the book and reading it before the next meeting. Is there any way we can meet at 7:00 p.m.? I am attending a 6 week fitness boot camp and have commitment to that from 6-7?

Honestly no I haven't yet. I have another week before the meeting and I will get to it before then. LOL I've been reading several other things that peaked my interest....90 Minutes in Heaven. Oh man....what an eye opener! It's only 200 pages but has taken be several days to read it. I've had to stop several time and just reflect!
