If I am going to get this neighborhood watch thing launched in my neighborhood. I will need lots of guidance. Is there a meeting or something where only this topic is covered.

I was told Williams to Forrest between Commerce and Pruitt. It is only three blocks long and four blocks wide.

Is there anyone in your neighborhood that can help you? A couple of us in Kings Bend started walking the streets (no comments on this Peter! LOL!) handing out flyers. We now have several interested in the program. I am hopeful these people will help us cover the other streets in our neighborhood.

Have you tried asking on your NW link on this site if anyone from your neighborhood is a www.hotpursuit.com member? If so, they may be able to assist you in generating interest in your NW. Don't give up. The one street in our neighborhood that I thought would have limited interest has stepped up with several interested in the NW Program.

I will talk to the neighbor directly to my left and there is a teacher on my block that I am kinda acquaintances with. And then there is my sister in law that lives on the last block. I kinda am familiar with everyone on my immediate block, then some what down further. After that I have just stayed away from the whole lot of em. So they are going to think I am on something after being here for over ten years and then wanting to start a watch. Our neighborhood is relatively quite. But we have the sex offenders in our section. I think at lest four live in this little radius.

Okay Bert. I will also look at the papers that came with the house when we bought it. lol

Now move this thread to Woodlawn. Please.... I told you all I needed help. lol Apparently I do not know where I live.

Okay I am planning on stapling this note to the Hot Pursuit Flyer and then dis tributing it in the neighborhood. And I am leery of putting my name on this stuff. If I should I will.

Are you interested in reviving our neighborhood watch? Would you like to participate? Our town has grown and is still growing at a pace that has left most behind. We have many families that both mom and dad are working, we have many single parent families. I think it would be a great opportunity to show the community that we care about each other as neighbors and join one of the bigger groups that could guide us into being a safer area. I lived in my neighborhood for 15 years and new two neighbors...it can be done. One suggestion, I printed up the www.hotpursuit.com flyer and then printed information about starting the Kings Bend NW on the back side...this promoted both goals. I also added Bert's Our Baytown link on the NW information.
