Neighborhood clean-up event planned

Aug. 13, 2009

The Lakewood Community Clean-Up Day will take place from 9 a,.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Aug.15 at Westwood Park (West Baytown Little League Ball Park), on W. Shrek. All Baytown residents looking to dispose of brush, building debris (in bags or boxes), fencing materials, and recycle scrap metal/appliances, will have the opportunity to do so at this event.

The City of Baytown will provide 40-yard roll boxes; however residents will be responsible for their own loading and unloading, as this is a self-service neighborhood event. Disposal is limited to Baytown residents, no commercial or contractor waste or debris will be accepted. Household hazardous waste (such as paints, oils and batteries), dirt, bricks, concrete, and garbage will not be accepted.

For more information, contact the City of Baytown Neighborhood Division at 281-420-5384.
