red paint dots and cutting down trees

What's the deal with this? Is it Fema? the City? I see red dots all along the curb and on trees...and then saw debris on the curb where they had already cleaned up once.

Are these dead limbs? I know neighbors who did not want someone coming on their property and cutting their trees, and they weren't aware until afterwards.

Did I miss this somewhere in the news?

They are removing dead limbs from trees that can fall intothe sidewalk or street. They are also supposed to remove limbs that brush up against vehicles as they pass through the street, accordingto the guys in the truck doing the work.

Thanks, Michael. It's hard to figure when you look at it...some that look like they need it didn't get it...and visa versa. Guess it was a judgement call.

In talking with the crews doing the work, the red dots are GPS locations where the limbs were stacked for pick up. The FEMA monitor representatives are taking before and after photos of the cut limbs and measuring the size of the limbs that were cut. (Go figure our tax dollars at work).

Wow. So Melvin it was Fema and not the city. Limbs were removed and cleaned up in this neighborhood. Then we have these red dots (that have not washed off with rain)...more cut limbs...and more mess...and friends of mine had limbs cut that weren't remotely near wires, road, etc. It's just strange to me.

Just wanted to say Thanks I went and put my app. in 10/21 and they came looked at tree Today 10/23 and said they will take care of the Tree.
